Yee Flippin' Ha!
I've just booked our flights (well, reserved them with a deposit, but you know what I mean). Setting off on 2nd October, we'll be going to Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Peru and Argentina, returning in April next year.
Very VERY excited!
and just a little bit scared too...

Philosophy by Peter Kay.
It's mid August and we've still not even booked our flights yet.
So, we've had to pull out of the sale of our flat. I feel sorry for the couple buying, the whole process was delayed by their grant authority. In fact, their grant came through the day we decided to pull out, which caused even more 'shall we or shan't we' wrangling. But no solicitor can guarantee a completion date (there's always a hitch) and until we know that we can't make any definite plans or arrangements. So we chose to pull out of the sale completely.
It means we only have a finite amount of savings to travel on (we weren't planning on spending the sale money, but it would've been a nice financial safety net), but at last we can book flights and set an off date.
Our friend Ash is going to move into the flat, which means we haven't got to worry about putting all our stuff into storage or re-directing mail, so in lots of ways this now makes things simpler.
Annie's taking Ned's passport for renewal, I'm looking into destinations and flights, and we've got a hammock ready.
In the words of Peter Kay let's 'book it, pack it, fuck off!'
